Well done to all the participants of the August Scramble. Everyone found their way to the course and were on time. While they were having torrential rain in Chaing Mai we a 100 km South enjoyed a partially cloudy day, humidity and some Sunshine. Not hearing any complaints voiced we assumed everyone enjoyed the course and the day including the 19th. The results are as posted and the Committee thanks all those who participated.

The draw was carried out both for teams and tee off positions witnessed by the committee.
Low Gross will win the competition (no handicaps). There will be a prizes for the winners and the runners-up and four nearest the pins on par threes. Should there be a draw the prize money will be divided equally.

By popular choice Mae Moh Golf Course has been selected for our August Scramble. A few of the guys have tried it out and it is in fine condition and a good challenge. It is at least a hour and a half drive and car pooling might be a good idea. We have been promised that 50 caddies will be made available and the club restaurant opens at 0800 for those who would like a quick breakfast.

Drivers note: Drop off golfers and clubs at New Clubhouse but park by the old clubhouse as the presentations will be done there (Cheaper food & drink)

Get your names in early as the cut-off date is 14 August when teams will be selected in a random handicap draw (committees discretion). If any person (first in first served) does not make a team they are still welcome to attend as spares.

Usual nomination Fee of 200 baht (non-refundable). Pay to Club Captains or Treasurer ASAP.
Prizes dependant on numbers. Names will be posted on the blog after receipt of nomination fee.

Usual rules apply:

Minimum of 3 drives for each member of the team not counting par 3's and the person's drive that is used on a hole does not have a second shot. The person whose drive is counted marks his ball with a tee and picks up and the remaining three players hit their ball from there. All players can hit third or fourth shots to the green.

Remember in putting to give all members a chance to one putt. Once the ball is in the hole that is the score. So if you putt up to the rim of the hole and tap it in without giving your team a chance to putt the hole is over and your score stands.

Nearest the Pins must be on the green or the first cut around the green.

One score card for each team showing the team score and the number of drives by each individual. Totalled up correctly and signed by two members of the team.
